1. Agreement
By using Kotofy ("the app", "the service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. Service Description
Kotofy is a text rewriting tool that uses AI to help you adapt text for different contexts. You select text, choose a style, and the AI rewrites it for you.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Kotofy. If you're under 18, you should have permission from a parent or guardian.
4. Your Responsibilities
When using Kotofy, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when creating an account
- Keep your account credentials secure
- Not use the service for illegal purposes
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the service
- Not use the service to generate harmful, abusive, or misleading content
- Comply with all applicable laws
5. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Kotofy to:
- Generate spam, phishing content, or malware
- Create content that infringes on others' intellectual property
- Harass, defame, or harm others
- Generate illegal content
- Circumvent usage limits or abuse the service
6. AI-Generated Content
Important: Kotofy uses third-party AI services to rewrite text. Please understand that:
- AI outputs may not always be accurate, appropriate, or error-free
- You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before use
- We do not guarantee that outputs will meet your specific needs
- AI may occasionally produce unexpected or inappropriate results
Always review the diff preview before applying changes.
7. Intellectual Property
- Your content: You retain ownership of text you submit
- AI outputs: Rewritten text is provided for your use, but note that purely AI-generated content may have limited copyright protection
- Our service: Kotofy's software, design, and branding are our intellectual property
8. Third-Party Services
Kotofy uses third-party services for AI processing and payments. Your use of Kotofy is also subject to these providers' terms.
9. Pricing and Payment
- Free tier: Limited tokens, limited features
- Pro subscription: $6/month, paid monthly
- Payments are processed by Stripe
- Prices may change with notice
10. Cancellation and Refunds
- You can cancel your subscription anytime via the app
- After cancellation, you retain access until the end of your billing period
- No prorated refunds for partial months
- Refunds for service issues will be considered on a case-by-case basis
11. Service Availability
We strive to keep Kotofy available, but we don't guarantee 100% uptime. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or due to factors beyond our control.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Kotofy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. You may stop using the service at any time.
16. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Tokyo, Japan.
